Sold most of the cards!

Thank you so much guys , I managed to sell almost all the cards .... Very very happy :)
Here's what I sent out ...

There was one customer who ordered four cards, I was all yayyyyyy and sent her a pair of my handmade quilled earrings as a thank you !

P.S. Finding envelopes the right size for the cards I make , whew , I went searching in the gullies of Commercial Street to find them .. I considered professional paper cutters and what not . It's tough cutting cards and making envelopes (read, it's comparitively boring than making whats on the card :D ) Someone find me a way please !

Some Quilled Earrings

Some earrings that I had made a while ago but hadn't taken proper pictures then .... And then they were sold, so a couple of these are the pics from before they turned into earrings :)

This one looks like some sort of mechanical gears and grease earrings, with a metallic touch ! I was trying to get 2 colors one on the inside and one on the outside to see how the colors would look and well, not too shabby eh ;)

My first attempt at the Royal Flower, had a little tough time getting all the lengths same every time and I actually realised how much patience I had ( For those of you who don't know me, I'm the sort who can't stand waiting 1 minute for the microwave to heat food , ha ha ) And I believe this was the first earring sold that day. So yayyy  .

Another first attempt, the Malaysian flower, I absolutely love the originals !

The simplest ones and yet they look so nice ! Crimped paper rolled ...

Charity sale of handmade and quilled cards and accessories

Hiya guys,

The charity sale was a success !! Our first stall and I am very happy that we managed to raise a decent amount of money. Thanks to all the people who contributed and I do hope the people you gift my handmade beauties to like them. And if you are going to use them yourself , yayyyyy !
I am sure most people there were exposed for the first time to quilling and paper accessories.  I had cards, earrings, hairbands and photoframes :)
Quilled Earrings Sale Sale Sale !! (I so wanted to do the vendor call like when they sell tomatoes on a cart) but not this time ;)
Some pics of the stall below ...

Should we take the pink or the blue?

Quilled Earrings

There's going to be a sale at my hubby's office, the proceeds of which go to a charity - the items on sale have to be handmade :)
The one thing that I am currently Loving is Quilling. So, I had to do something with that. While cards and stuff first popped into my head, I realised I'd want to make something that people may use more readily. (Cards tend to need an occassion dont they) So, earrings it was :) And no, it has nothing to do with the fact that I have been dying to make some since a month ;)

All the earrings laid out together ...

I had such a good time making quilled earrings. These are like my first batch of cookies, simple stuff but it makes me happy .It has been mostly a learning experience for me - sourcing the metal hoops for the earrings in Bangalore , tough job :) But this nice guy in Commercial Street managed to source some for me. Turns out I didnt have the right pliers to tighten the loops after looping the paper through it. I managed to over Mod-Podge some earrings so they look just plain goopy (oh yeah, broke my heart to see a nice quilled earring rendered un-usable). And of course, once the earring was ready, it just wouldnt balance right or it would keep changing direcrtions going sideways or doing a 180 turn ;) What joy !! But I must say, valuable lessons learnt. I still have some time to go and have some other plans up my sleeve. Wish me luck, I do hope to be able to make a valuable contribution through my limited skills.
